placement is ending tmr..hmm...finally...not that i hate it..but i really need to take a break..i actually wanna go on a holiday but i duno how to when i have the term paper due in 2 weeks' time..meaning i cant go anytime in these 2 weeks. if i wait till after the 31st july..its also too late cos bidding and rubbish will be almost immediately after that....so....i duno how.
placement has been great i would say...cos i've learnt a lot from it...i wun go into detail what i've learnt la...but just..got hands-on experience in social work practice and it cant be learnt from lectures or tutorials..and social work is really not volunteer work like what the general public perceives it to be...oh well..but these 10 weeks have really been fulfilling...with wonderful colleagues to help me and my friend...and fabulous social work assistants who treat both of us like daughters...actually all the younger medical social workers also la since all of us r about the same age..hahha...
but no matter how great it is..i still need to take a break..burnout? ok this is bad if im going thru burnout now when im not even a certified social worker yet n the caseload i handled is a puny part of what the msws handle...i tot of going genting..but i hate the check-in queue..i tot of cruise also..but the 2 night one is not worth it cos the departure is 2359 (considered first night)..thats like quite crap n its cheating my money...i also tot of sentosa but chalets all fully booked...bangkok..doubt its possible la since the 2 nights one already difficult..sigh..but i need to somehow recharge myself before sch starts if not i'll find this coming sem more of a dread as compared to the other sems....how? hmmmm
but now i have the stupid term paper to worry about..what stupid evidence based practice its asking for? how am i gonna finish reading 10 books on (grief) counselling? sigh...
and i still havent decided whether to do anything for my birthday..hahha....
